We have developed our own HTS tapes with Je (20K, 20T) exceeding 1,000/mm2, suitable for space applications such as at 40 Tesla and above.

"Exceptional magnets call for exceptional superconductors. Think of 40+ Tesla, think of super-heavy-loaded CS coils (spheromaks!), think of space applications - many existing products aren’t quite enough for those. To address this challenge, we have developed super-unique conductor with Je(20K,20T) in excess of 1,000 A/mm2 — our new ‘MIRAI’ tape. This new product is not easy to make, we are pushing the limits of possible with this tape. However we see important tasks which cannot wait, and which will greatly benefit from such an enabler.
In Japanese, ‘Mirai’ means ‘future’. We hope you feel this too - this future is getting closer, it is actually happening right now."
